Yangmingshan Hot Spring is located in the Datun volcanic zone. Volcanic action produces geothermal heat and is rich in hot spring resources. The hot spring quality is mainly white sulfur spring, followed by green sulfur spring. It is one of the four major hot springs in Taiwan along with Beitou Hot Spring, Guanziling Hot Spring and Sichongxi Hot Spring. The hot spring area is divided into front mountain hot spring and back mountain hot spring. There are many hot spring resort hotels in the surrounding area. The rich natural ecology and geological landscape, plus mountain game delicacies, make it a good place for vacation in the north.
