The Zhongshan Tower in Yangmingshan National Park was built in the 54th year of the Republic of China (1965 AD) to commemorate the centenary of the birth of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, the founding father of the country, when President Chiang Kai-shek was in power. It was planned by the famous architect Ms. Xiu Zelan. It is located in the greenery surrounded by mountains. Its appearance is A traditional Chinese classical building with elegant and meticulous interior furnishings. It used to be the venue for the National Assembly and an important venue for heads of state to receive foreign guests or hold state banquets.
