About this place

The National History Museum is located on Changsha Street behind the Presidential Palace. The building is a city-designated historic site that combines Western classical and modern styles. In its early days, it was the Communications Department of the Transportation Bureau of the Taiwan Governor-General during the Japanese occupation. In October 2010, the "President and Vice President Cultural Relics Exhibition" was launched, displaying themes and cultural relics related to the president and vice president, as well as diplomatic gifts from various countries around the world. In addition to scheduled tours and group reservation tours, it also organizes related promotion and education events, including a series of lectures, special lectures on cultural relics, etc.; it also provides digitized archives of the collection for retrieval and application by all walks of life.
