About this place
The Art Museum was built in the 1920s with exquisite workmanship. It is one of the largest single Japanese-style pure wooden buildings in Taiwan. During the Japanese colonial period, it was a Japanese officers' club and was once used by kamikaze troops. After World War II, it became the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Jiashan Guest House. It is now privately owned and is a place where folk art antiques are exhibited.
