Bao Bao Temple occupies a vast area and was built in 1805 AD. Due to the vast and arduous construction project, the required stones and timber had to be shipped from China, and the craftsmen were specially hired from the local area. Therefore, the entire project was constructed in stages and took 25 years to complete.
